Cash Tester
Philip Toledo Limited is the exclusive Cash Tester Distributor for Malta. CashTester specialises in currency validation solutions and its products range from currency note counters and verifiers plus coin counters and sorters. CashTester products are certified by the European Central Bank as being 100% efficient in identifying counterfeit banknotes.
Malta had enjoyed a general lack of counterfeit criminality on account of its old currency, the Maltese lira, having restricted worldwide usage. This changed with the country's adoption of the Euro which is the currency with the highest combined value of cash in circulation in the world, having surpassed the U.S. dollar. Euro counterfeits (false notes) are becoming more and more common and the quality of the forged banknotes is improving.
Business owners especially retailers are continuously at risk of possessing Euro fake notes. The most foolproof way to truly ensure one does not accept fake notes is to rely on automatic devices that can validate the genuine quality of the banknote. The German Central Bank stated that UV lamps have limited accuracy since forgers are able to copy UV security. The European Central Bank(ECB) has a certification process where euro automatic checker machines are tested against all known counterfeit notes and those which detect 100% of all counterfeits are awarded ECB certification.
