Software Developer (Ref: PTL-SD08/14)

PTL is seeking to recruit a Software Developer to design and build secure and scalable software products for clients. Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, the successful candidate will build, test, support and modify existing code in an agile environment.

This is a valuable opportunity for a motivated IT professional who can demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and who is able to multi-task and take initiative.

Advanced development skills in .NET and experience in database design are essential. Preference will be given to candidates who also have experience in areas of web technologies such as ASP.NET, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery and JSON, especially applied to mobile development.

Business Applications Retail Consultant / Developer (Ref: PTL-BAC 08/14)

PTL is growing its team of more than 100 professionals and is currently looking for a Business Applications Retail Consultant / Developer to join its team of retail specialists.

The preferred candidate would typically have a hands-on approach to technology and would be comfortable using Windows operating systems and handling retail specific hardware and software.

Implicit in the success of this role is the ability to understand retail customers’ requirements, map them onto an industry standard retail application and guide the customer through an implementation to go live. Good knowledge of development languages such as C#, ASP.Net and XML will be considered an asset. The selected candidate will also be required to support existing customers within a dynamic environment. Although the employment is based in Malta, overseas travel may be required from time to time.

Besides being customer focused, the ideal applicant should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, whilst also being used to working as part of a dynamic team in a high-pressure environment. A good hands-on technical aptitude and a thirst to learn, improve and deliver are key aspects to the job. A valid driving licence and own means of transport are also required.

Personal Assistant To The CEO, PTL International

PTL International, a subsidiary of Hili Ventures, is seeking to appoint a Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer to assume responsibility for all administrative activities. PTL International is a group of IT-related activities brought together to act as a business cluster to offer multi-level synergies to a variety of sectors and clients.

The Position:

The PA will support the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Team, and the Senior Management Team. The main responsibilities will include organizing travel arrangements, diary management, screening calls and enquiries, arranging meetings, basic presentations, petty cash management, and general administrative duties. The successful candidate will be a strong team player, and have the ability to maintain relationships with the wider team, while facilitating communication across the group.

This is an opportunity for an experienced, meticulous PA with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

The Requirements:

Candidates must have experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Previous experience in a similar role, a high degree of flexibility, and the ability to manage priorities efficiently is essential.

Business Applications Consultant (Ref: PTL-ERP 08/14)

PTL is seeking a Business Applications Consultant to implement and support various products and technologies at client sites.

The Position:

The Business Applications Consultant collects and analyses customer requirements through workshops, planning the process of mapping the gathered requirements onto systems and installing, setting up and configuring these systems. The ideal candidate is expected to have a sound appreciation of business processes and a readiness to engage in accounting and process discussions with clients. This requires a proactive approach to customer requirements gathering.

The Requirements:

The successful candidate will be a graduate in Business and Computing or Information Systems (or a related discipline) with an interest in business processes and an appreciation of technology. Knowledge of databases, SQL scripting and handling text files in Excel would be considered an asset. The role requires an excellent communicator, able to train end users with a view to deliver business benefit through technology. Hands-on technical aptitude, the ability to work in a dynamic team, and the motivation deliver are key aspects to the role. A valid driving licence and own means of transport are essential.
