Security Technician

PTL is seeking to recruit a Security Technician to be responsible for the installation, maintenance and support of CCTV, Intruder Alarm and other security systems at customer locations.


The Security Technician will form part of a team entrusted with various installation and support operations at client locations both locally as well as internationally. Amongst other duties, the role entails responding promptly and clearly to requests for support from clients; providing proactive technical expertise to the security team through research & development; and keeping abreast of new products within the security field.


The preferred candidate will have a technical qualification with at least 1 year of relevant work experience and have a good grasp of basic IT systems configurations and networking. Besides being customer focused, the ideal applicant should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Hands-on technical aptitude, the ability to work in a dynamic team, and the motivation to deliver are
key aspects to the role. A valid driving licence is essential.

Junior Consultant – Automated Meter Management

PTL is seeking to recruit a Junior Consultant to provide support in smart metering solutions.


The Junior Consultant will understand the underlying technologies of the smart metering infrastructure. The consultant will provide support to improve the system's performance; support users, debug and diagnose issues, and report issues to the development/maintenance team.

The role entails integration testing of new releases, coordination of user acceptance testing; designing of new functionality for evolution of smart metering applications; and administration of smart metering applications.


The preferred candidate will have a degree in IT, Information Systems or Business and Computing (or related recognised qualification). The successful candidate will be awarded a one-year contract and will be trained to gain strong technical knowledge and flexibility. This training involves working on a special project with IBM, PTL’s business partner. This is a valuable opportunity for a motivated, ambitious IT professional who is an excellent team player and can demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills.
